UPDF elite commandos surround Bobi Wine’s home ahead of Museveni swearing-in

Bobi Wine ‘s home has been sealed off by security forces ahead of the Presidential swearing in ceremony on 12th.

We are told they are highly trained Uganda People’s Defence Forces.

According to Brig Gen Flavia Byekwaso the spokesperson of the UPDF, she says that the intelligence units have information showing that Bobi real names Robert Kyagulanyi is planning to illegally swear in self and cause chaos in the city to disrupt the official ceremony at Kololo.

Kyagulanyi through his official social media platforms has also confirmed the presence of the military around his home this morning.
“Our comrades were meant to appear for their bail hearing today at the General Court Martial. All of a sudden, they called off the court. Meanwhile, my home is surrounded by the police and military! Soldiers are back to the streets. This is how the dictator plans to swear himself in!,” Bobi posted on Facebook.

Eleven heads of state out of 42 invited have confirmed their attendance of the swearing in ceremony of President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhabura Museveni slated for 12th May at Kololo independence grounds.


Other dignitaries slated to attend the scientific ceremony that is strictly by invite because of SOPs as set by the Ministry of Health comprise 17 delegates from each District, all members of Parliament Elect, all the 10 former Presidential candidates that participated in the 14th January presidential elections,all ministers and Ministers of state and Members of the Central Executive Committee of the National Resistance Movement.

Only 4042 people will attend Museveni’s swearing-in, Mbayo, the minister of the presidency has announced.

Swearing in day has been declared a public holiday in the entire country.
