The Uganda Anti Corruption Unit headed by Col. Edith Nakalema working together with Uganda Police Force, has today arrested two Uganda National Bureau of Standards staff.

The arrested are Shaka Vitalis, an Inspection officer Mbarara,

and Norman Mwamula Methwellah, the survaillance officer Mbarara regional offices.

They have been arrested and charged with corruption after they allegedly solicited for a bribe of UGX 3 million from the manager of Mukamanayamba Health Products to give them a certificate of inspection.

The duo has been remanded until 23rd October, 2020.
