Seasoned corporate lawyer Angelina Namakula Ofwono crossed from Absa Bank to DFCU bank a few years ago. However, things seems not to be working out well for her at DFCU.
A highly placed source at DFCU has informed us that Namakula is currently is facing a hard time because of office/ work politics.
An ansider at the bank tells us that Namakula has been attending numerous closed door meetings with her top bosses. And whenever the meetings end, she comes out looking frustrated.
A source alleges that there could be someone at her office who wants her out. We are yet to verify what exactly is happening to her.
Namakula was fetched from Absa to handle the docket of Chief Legal Officer/Company Secretary, a position that was previously held by Agnes Tibayeita Isharaza who defected to NSSF as CS replacing Richard Wabwire who was elevated to becoming a judge of the High Court.
Namakula has previously worked with Barclays Bank in the same capacity. Namakula holds a master’s degree in law (LLM) specializing in international commercial law.
