DESIRE LUZINDA MAKES UNBELIEVERABLE COME BACK, LAUNCHES NGO IN VIP STYLE.

Calirfonia based Ugandan music diva Desire Luzinda launched a charity umbrella Desire Luzinda Foundation International (DLFI) to broaden her humanitarism and norble base. The aim of the foundation is to attract more sustainable and predictable funding and to simplify the process of accepting philanthropic contributions from her friends, family and well wishers across the globe.

At a VIP coveted dinner at Kampala Serena Hotel, Desire hosted over 500 guests, appeared to have also missed entertaining her fans over time and this time, she performed with a 6 piece band in a gospel style officiated by Apostle Lubega Grace of Phaneroo Ministries. In attendance was Hon. Amelia Kyambadde, Hon. Miria Matembe, Hon. Nyeko Derick amongst other eminent figures.

“Over time, we have been blessed with the talent and wisdom to apply it to use. It’s time we take it a step higher, carry the sound and the message to where it belongs, help those in need that’s why i have boldy founded DLFI. The equity parity is what we need”, remarked Desire.

The official launch of the singer’s NGO was organised by Bryan Morel Publications, an agency that represents her back in East Africa. The production by Fenon Records was world class as he did what he does best, playing with the lights, screens and sounds to give the venue and classic look.

The launch of this charity comes handy as social responsibility after what Desire has gone through as Public figure.
We could recall that such a big move is centered from her frail mistakes as a public figure. She felt compelled to share her story with philanthropy.

Through Ms. Desire Luzinda, a transitioned inspiring artiste and goodwill ambassador, DLFI began its operations by assisting local girls at Uplift Children’s Center in Lungujja Kampala, a remote area in Central Uganda. For many years, she has been single handedly organizing outreaches to collect and donate items such as scholastic materials, beddings and food to this orphanage to which Ms. Desire is their PATRON.

Since then, DLF has worked continuously with the communities through projects of education, livelihood, agriculture and cultural exchange. It has also developed an international network of experienced, professional, local and international staff well placed to partner with finding bodies, partners and other collaborating service providers.

Amongst those that gave strong testimonies of Desire’s charitable deeds, were her co-founders Mathew Takatamoe and Eric Ndawula who also also her church mates at Phaneroo.
With the live band experience, gospel singer Levixone did songs like Turn The Replay, Mbeera an Chikibombe before leaving stage for Desire Luzinda.
Luzinda performed covers of gospel songs like Imela by Nathaniel Basset featuring Enitan Adaba , Never Give up by Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Because he lives by Gaither Vocal Band and Guy Penrod, Grace/ Call me Favour by Deborah Lukalu
