Ugandans have been missing shows like Blankets and Wine

The Ministry of Health has cut short Ugandan partiers joy after insisting that music concerts also known as bivulu, night clubs, bars are still closed.

This comes hours after a statement from the National Cultural Forum seemed to suggest that government has lifted the ban on entertainment concerts, on condition that they will be conducted in gazetted open spaces from 7am-7 pm.

to the statement, the lift was to be effected this Saturday on 19th, December.

But in a tweet, Ministry of Health insisted entertainment was still banned and dispelled the rumors doing the rounds on social media.
Most Ugandans had taken to their Socials in preparation for a return to partying.

Bars, concerts and all other entertainment avenues were closed in March following the outbreak of Covid-19.

Only cinemas have been opened.
