The Rudeboy concert set for tomorrow Valentine’s Day at Lugogo Cricket Oval might actually not take place, Xclusive UG understands.

Reason? Failure to pay for venue.
Our reliable sources tell us the show organisers, led by comedian Alex Muhangi and two Nigerian promoters, have so far failed to raise Lugogo Cricket Oval venue fees.

Here’s what we know…
Usually, Cricket Oval management (National Council of Sports) charges Shs30 million for venue. This applies to an international concert.
And Rudeboy show is

categorised as international.

However, Muhangi managed to convince Oval management that the concert is part of his weekly Comedy Store shows, hence it should be viewed as a local event.
They accepted and demanded shs15 million.

And now sources tell us that so far Muhangi and his crew have only paid shs3 million, promising to clear the balance (shs12 million) after the event.

NCS is having none of it and have refused stage setup so far.

Meanwhile another source claims that Muhangi and his team have in the last few minutes raised $4,000 for the venue.

However we cannot confirm this.

This is a developing story…
