Over the weekend, a number of the entertainment fraternity gathered in Nansana to raise money geared to help artiste Evelyn Lagu get proper treatment.
She is set to undergo a kidney transplant.
The Gagamel boss and self-proclaimed Big Size, Bebe Cool contributed 1M.
He said he would have given 5M and above if the music industry was operating normally.
“You know me, I’m a giver. I would have given her more but we are not working. I am broke of late,” he said.
He called upon the government to help her since it has put musicians in a position whereby they cannot help their colleagues.
A section of his fans have come out to castigate the singer for stepping below his level. Some claim Bebe has enough connections in state house that can help the ailing actress but he is acting too mean.
