Simon Kasyate could be set to take over as the head of communications at Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA), if word doing the rounds is to go by.
Power generator, Uganda Electricity Generation Company Limited revealed last night that spokesman, Simon Kasyate resigned from “this position with effect from 17th July, 2020 after 4 monumental years of dedicated service at Uganda Electricity GenerationCompany Limited.”
In a notice, UEGCL wished him well. “Our best wishes to Simon in his endeavors ahead.”
Until his resignation, Kasyate was the Head of Communication and Corporate Affairs at the company.
And now there’s talk he could be set for a stint at KCCA.
Others suggest he could be eyeing the position of Director Communications at Parliament previously occupied by Chris Obore.
Kasyate has previously worked as Corporate Affairs Manager Eskom Uganda Limited -an electricity generation company. Before that, he worked as Press and Information officer at the European Union Delegation in Kampala.
