Government through the National Agricultural Advisory Services (NAADS) has set aside 19 billion shillings this Finacial Year to construct a fruit processing factory in Nwoya district.

The factory expected to be built at this site is an initiative by Government of Uganda to add value to the abundant fruits in

the region.

According to Dr Julian Adyeeri, the factory will be constructed in partnership with Delight Uganda Ltd, manufacturers of Cheers juice.

Over 1,000 locals including homeless young mothers are to get gainful employment following the setting up of a 5,000 acre fruit processing plant in Nwoya district.

The project aims to support the continued economic recovery under the Peace Recovery and Development Program that targets 55 districts across Uganda.
