Kateshumbwa has resigned

JUST IN… Dicksons Kateshumbwa, the Head of Domestic taxes at governing body, Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), has resigned.

Kateshumbwa informed senior staff in a group email he was leaving URA after 14 years of dedicated service.
His resignation comes just over a month after

Doris Akol was fired from her position as Commissioner General.

She was replaced by Musinguzi Rujooki at the helm.

In February, Akol- then CG- transferred Kateshumbwa from customs to head domestic taxes department.
Kateshumbwa’s old position was taken over by Abel Kagumire, who had been Commissioner Customs Audit.
