City tycoon, Hamis Kiggundu- through his Ham Foundation- has donated Shs100 million (cash) towards the food relief distribution program that is targeting vulnerable people affected by the lockdown aimed at combating COVID-19 pandemic.

Kiggundu handed over the cash this morning to Prime Minister Rt.Hon. Ruhakana Rugunda who flagged off distribution of food relief in Kampala.

The distribution program is intended to respond to the population

that is badly affected by the measures taken by government in order to stop the COVID-19 pandemic.

Uganda government announced that it will distribute food to 1.5 million vulnerable Ugandans who have been affected by a 14- day lockdown.

The infections in Uganda keep climbing and so far 48 cases have been registered by the Ministry of health.

Uganda is committed to fighting this global pandemic.
