First son, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has reminded the nation that UPDF and Uganda Police never forget their enemies like those who assasinated former AIGP, Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
In a tweet, tough talking Muhoozi said no matter how long it takes, they will settle accounts with Kaweesi’s killers.
“It is 3 years since some criminals took your life my brother,” said Gen. Muhoozi, “We shall settle accounts with them, no matter how long it takes! UPDF and UPF never forget those who attack us! Rest in Peace my brother.”
Kaweesi’s assassins- according to forensics-used powerful weapons to shower him bullets, his driver and the bodyguard. All died on spot.
While many suspects have been arrested forthe crime, no individual has ever been convicted of Kaweesi’s murder.
Kaweesi was shot on the morning of 17 March 2017 when he was leaving his home for duty. He was traveling with one of his bodyguards, Kenneth Erau, and the driver, Geoffrey Wambewo, who were both killed about 100metres from Kaweesi’s gate.
It was discovered that Kaweesi was shot 27times, his bodyguard, Kenneth Erau, was shoot 33 times while the driver, Geoffrey Wambewo, was shot 11 times. The police vehicle in which the three were traveling in was found to have 77 bullet holes.
