We are hearing that Police bosses have unanimously agreed to cancel musician Bobi Wine’s Independence concert dubbed Osobola.
Sources in Naguru tell us that after a series of meetings, IGP Okoth Ochola and his assistants including Sabiiti Muzeeyi have agreed that ‘it’s in the best interest of Uganda that the musical extravaganza doesn’t take place.’
There is fear- the source adds- the gig could turn chaotic this disrupting law and order.
However an official statement is yet to issued regarding the cancellation.
Meanwhile, Bobi also Kyadondo East MP insists his Independence Day music concert scheduled for his One Love Beach in Busaabala, Wakiso District, will take place.
Addressing journalists at his music studio in Kamwokya, a city suburb, Bobi Wine whereas police have not responded to his letter,he has done the duty of informing them as the law requires.
“We are interpreting the silence from the police as a green light,” he said, insisting that the preparations for the concert dubbed ‘Osobola’ are in high gear.
Bobi Wine also warned that he will personally walk to the police headquarters on Wednesday if he does not receive any reply to his letter by the end of the day.
