About a year ago, dignitaries, musicians, friends and Ugandans headed to Kagga in Wakiso to send off vocal giant Moze Radio.
People from all over the country were glued on television watching proceedings. Late Radio had practically put the nation on standstill ( at stake if you know).
Moze Radio had died after being involved in a bar scuffle in Entebbe. The country mourned the passing of a legend.
Fast forward. A year later, Radio’s resting place in Kagga was a deserted place today as a few family members and friends gathered for the late singer’s requiem mass.
Radio died today a year ago. But most musicians werenowhere to be seen for the memorial mass.
A catholic requiem mass is offered on specifically appointed days of the year for the repose of a dead person’s soul. This means today was a special day for everyone connected to Radio.
However close musicians including singing partner Weasel, mentor Jose Chameleone were nowhere.
Only Kalifah AgaNaga and Chagga showed up to pray for Radio’s soul.
It must be noted that just a few days ago, Radio’s brother, Frank, accused Chameleone and his brothers of fighting Radio’s family.
For months, there has been a standoff between different stakeholders over the true owner of late Radio’s music.
