The impending return of Jamaican dancehall reggae sensation, Collins Demar Edwards famously known by his stage name – Demarco, may no longer be news.
However, the news of his return is already causing sleepless nights for some individuals in the entertainment circles. Following the revelation last week about Demarco’s plan to collaborate with local artists during his planned visit to Kampala next month, word doing rounds is that several top artists have since pitched camp at Club Silk begging to be included on the street jam performers list with the hope of getting Demarco to do a collabos with them.
Demarco who recently sent through a video drop confirming his return to Kampala for the Club Music Street Jam at Club Silk also hinted that hewould consider doing collabos with some of the local artists, a thing that seems to have now sparked off a row between several artists who are believed to be feuding over what they consider sabotage with each accusing the other of trying to fail their international music career.
Demarco has previously featured in several collabos including one with our very own dancehall sensation Peter Miles in a single titled Blessings. The song which was recorded shortly after his last visit to Kampala in August 2012 has since gone on to top the world music charts especially in Jamaica, Europe and the US. Demarco is expected to jet in with a 3-man contingent on Thursday 8th May 2014 at 1pm. He will there after hold a meet and greet fans party in Silk Royale on Friday 9th May before eventually headlining the Club music street Jam with Demarco just outside Club Silk.
